What I’m working on right now (as of 2018 May 7)
Projects
Creative Summer | Kreatywne Lato – is an international arts summer camp for 8-15 year olds. It runs from July 2-21. Right now I am focused on developing the curriculum with the team and advertising the camp to parents. For more info go to creativesummer.org
Story Center – on Saturdays I am read stories to children. It is free to attend and hosted by the American School of Wroclaw. Reading to children of all ages is so important, especially if they are learning another language. When you read a book you are making sure they hear reliably correct and significant vocabulary. I love telling stories, making voices and turning it into a performance. We are taking a break starting on June 2 but hopefully it will come back in the fall.
Shakespeare Club – in the second year of my Shakespeare Club, students have been working on an adaptation of Midsummer Night’s Dream. The final show is May 18-19. We just came back from a spring break in England. The third grade students got to see Shakespeare’s house and his tomb. It was awesome.
Theater Lab and IB Drama – I’m always working on units for IB Drama course for students ages 12-17. This semester we are working on Creating Characters, Devising, Theater Makers thorough Time, Shakespeare’s Language, and On Camera Auditioning.
